RGM-79-SS Sword GM

A mobile suit with great focus on melee combat, the Sword GM is a variant of the GM equipped with a mounted beam saber on either arm in addition to the addition of another beam saber on the backpack in the style of the RX-78-2 Gundam.  The backpack thrusters have been modified to allow the Sword GM to move at speeds exceeded only by the Gundam with magnetic coating.  As such, it is extremely difficult for non-ace pilots to operate this machine.
Though the Sword GM can carry usual Federation mobile suit firearms, it can fight more efficiently unburdened by mobile suit shields or other defensive gear because its armor is made of Gundarium alloy that falls short of the original Gundam armor strength.
